Abstract
We believe that modern Reason has arisen from a certain noetic production of both thoughts and sensations of which it later on became emancipated in order to empower judgments that can turn themselves against their origin. These "general or formal judgments" (which are the touchstone of all current technique, modern State, and contemporary culture) proceed, we could state, from that ancient doctrine of the "judgment of God" that, at the same time, would have substituted and forgotten what we herein will call "pagan judgment". It is precisely in this junction (where different doctrines of judgment devote themselves or turn themselves against the practices of intuition and the power of thinking) where this investigation intends to place itself.
