Abstract
This project focuses on the analysis of the customary rules on international responsibility of States as codified in 2001 by the International Law Commission of the United Nations, in light of human rights case law. The hypothesis is that although some general rules are entirely applicable to the cases of violations of human rights by the State, others require certain adaptation to attend to the special features of human rights. The research shall include the study of the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the European Court of Human Rights and the International Court of Justice.
